YOUR LOCAL GREENS

Mums, Dads, grandkids and grandparents, neighbours and friends, St George Greens is made up of local St George residents who are disillusioned with the old parties.

STANDING UP FOR WHAT MATTERS

The Greens fundamental principles are simple:

Sustainability, Democracy, Social Justice, Peace

ST GEORGE GREENS ARE FIGHTING FOR:

LOCAL ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE

We must do everything we can to encourage our local area to lower their carbon footprint. St George Greens is here to help answer questions on solar power, battery storage, electric vehicles and other technology all affordable and achievable ways to make a difference

SUSTAINABLE, COMMUNITY INFORMED PLANNING

We as locals, we love our neighbourhood and want to retain their character and liveability. Local councils and state governments are cramming increasing high density into St George with little regard for our heritage or transport concerns. Utilities are strained, hospitals are barely keeping up and childcare and other services have very long waiting lists. There must be more community consultation in our planning. We need to be at the table.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT NOT TOLLROADS

Westconnex and the planned F6 are going to tear great swathes through our local area and our state’s budget and only provide temporary traffic relief. Most first world countries know that mass transit provides the most cost effective means of moving people around a modern city. St George Greens have a comprehensive transport plan for the region to remove the need for more toll roads
